Aero Strawberry

Nestle's Aero Strawberry was released along with Aero Caramel in Canada in early 2014.

Appearance - 7.3

The Aero Strawberry bar consists of very light pink colored, strawberry flavored aerated white chocolate coated in milk chocolate. The bar is segmented into dome shaped pieces. 

E: Cute. 
E2: I like the curve of the top. 

Flavor and Taste - 5.0

The predominant flavor of the Aero Strawberry bar is sour dairy, with a mild artificial strawberry flavor that emerges while chewing. The chocolate bar is also incredibly sweet. 

E: Like strawberry fluoride. 
E2: Very sour, off-dairy, don't taste any strawberry. 
J: Creamy strawberry flavor. Chocolate flavor is almost non-existent. Super sweet. 

Texture - 6.0

The aerated chocolate collapses when chewing and transitions to a more creamy texture. 

E: Bubbles are interesting. Pretty creamy. 
E2: Kind of chalky, but has nice creaminess. 
J: Smooth and creamy. 

Aftertaste - 4.3

The aftertaste is similar to strawberry yogurt. It tastes very sweet, milky, and dairy sour with a light strawberry flavor.

E: Plastic strawberry.
E2: Lingering sweetness is kind of intense. 
J: All strawberry. Is there even chocolate?!

Overall - 5.3

Overall, the Aero Strawberry bar was quite disappointing. The bar had a dominant sour dairy flavor rather than tasting like a balanced pairing between chocolate and strawberry. The Aero Strawberry bar would have greatly benefited from a more authentic strawberry flavor and darker chocolate.

Dairy Milk Bubbly Mint

Appearance - 7.7

The Dairy Milk Bubbly Mint bar is segmented into different sized bubble-shaped pieces. The bar has an aerated milk chocolate base below a white, mint-flavored layer and another coating of milk chocolate. The thickness of the mint layer in each piece differs due to the variation in height of each piece. 

E: Really bubbly! Intriguing, but mostly weird. 
J: Cool raised and interesting aerated appearance. 
S: I really like the bubbly chocolate bar.

Flavor and Taste - 7.1

At first, the flavor is mostly just sweet milk chocolate. The mint flavor develops as the chocolate is chewed and the milk chocolate flavor dissipates. The mint flavor is slightly cooling from the menthol in the peppermint oil.

C: Nice minty flavor, reminds me of Andes mints, but a little bit creamier. 
E: Disappointing. Way too sweet, kind of sour, and ultimately lacking in punch. 
J: Great cool mint flavor. Sweet chocolate.
L2: Minty is good, not too much. 
S: Soft mint, blends well with the chocolate.
Y: Overall yummy. A little sweet to me, though. 

Texture - 7.2

The mint layer is thick and creamy in comparison to the aerated chocolate, which is rather crumbly. While this does provide textural contrast, it is not a pleasant one. 

C: Nice and creamy, soft.
E: Crumbly and chewy simultaneously. 
J: Very smooth and creamy chocolate. The air bubbles aren't doing much for me. 
L2: Smooth mouthfeel.
S: Interesting when you let it melt on your tongue. Creamy. Top half is creamy, but thicker.
Y: Smooth and soft.

Aftertaste - 6.8

The aftertaste is pepperminty and slightly sweet. 

C: Minty chocolate. 
E: Weird, medicinal minty aftertaste.
J: Mostly mint.
S: Mint is stronger in the aftertaste. 
Y: Clean. 

Overall - 7.2

Overall, I enjoyed the flavor of the Dairy Milk Bubbly Mint bar and how it transitions from milk chocolate to mint. I do not think the aerated chocolate works well in this application, however, as it gives a crumbly texture when chewing. 

E: Really not a fan. 
J: Great candy!

Aero Caramel

The Aero Caramel bar is divided into bubble-shaped pieces. The bar has a milk chocolate shell with caramel flavored and colored aerated white chocolate. 

E: Kind of looks like styrofoam. 

Flavor and Taste - 5.3

The chocolate bar is very sweet. There is a strong butterscotch flavor in addition to the milk chocolate. 

C: Has artificial caramel.
E: Really artificial. 
S: Tastes like butterscotch and maple.

Texture - 5.8

The Areo Caramel bar has the same texture as all Aero bars. If you bite into the bar, the center collapses and then has a normal milk chocolate texture as you chew. Though, if you let the chocolate melt on your tongue, it feels somewhat bubbly. 

C: Light and fluffy, kind of weird to bite into because it collapses. Kind of dry and crumbly at first bite, then becomes creamy. 
E: Super crumbly - not desirable for me in a chocolate bar. 
S: Kind of waxy - not airy. 

Aftertaste - 5.8

The aftertaste is still incredibly sweet and tastes even more like butterscotch. 

C: Artificial caramel. 
E: Not bad, but fake caramel lingers. 

Overall - 5.9

Overall, the flavor of the Aero Caramel bar is a disappointment. The caramel flavor tastes more like an overly sweet butterscotch than actual caramel. 

E: Not really a fan. 
S: Kind of gross. 

Cadbury Dairy Milk Chips Ahoy! Cookie Dough

The Dairy Milk Chips Ahoy! Cookie Dough bar consists of Cadbury Diary Milk chocolate with large, beige-colored cookie dough pieces scattered throughout the bar. 

Flavor and Taste - 6.7

The bar tastes primarily of sweet milk chocolate. The cookie dough has a faint vanilla flavor, but otherwise is hardly noticeable in terms of taste. 

C: The cookie dough flavor is very mild. It's mostly just chocolate and sweet.

E: I like the chocolate and cookie dough combo less than I expected. It's very sweet, but the flavor complexity is lacking. 

L: The chocolate is delish. Can't really taste the cookie dough. 

S: Tastes like chocolate chip cookie dough. Good ratio.

Texture - 5.7

The milk chocolate is very smooth. The cookie dough pieces are grainy, reminiscent of cookie batter. 

C: The texture of the cookie dough pieces are a little like the pieces in ice cream, but then have a texture like marshmallows. Also, the pieces are very dry.

E: I'm not crazy about the texture. The dough part is very chewy, which reads funny in the chocolate bar. 

L: The 'cookie dough' is super drying.

S: Huge lumps of cookie dough, so it was gritty like cookie dough.

Aftertaste - 5.6

The aftertaste is chocolaty and very sweet. 

C: A little gritty and chocolaty. 

E: A little sour, but I think that's just the chocolate.

L: Kind of gets stuck in your throat from all the dryness. 

S: Slightly strange. Kind of artificial tasting. 

Overall - 6.2

The Dairy Milk Chips Ahoy! Cookie Dough bar was not bad. However, the bar was more like milk chocolate with grainy spheres than a chocolate bar highlighting cookie dough inclusions due to the lack of flavor from the cookie dough bits.

E: It's chocolate, but it didn't wow me. 

S: Pretty good.
